1. Create a new file (File -> New) with 400 width and
100 height pixels.
2. Create a new layer (Layer -> New -> Layer) and then ajust the colors to white and black as background (you can do it just pressing D and then X).
3. Go to Filter -> Render –> Clounds, and then Filter -> Render -> Difference Clounds:
4. Go to Filter -> Distort -> Twirl:
5. Go to Filter -> Artistic -> Plastic Wrap:
6. Go to Filter -> Brush Strokes –> Crosshatch:
7. Now, your picture should look like this:
8. Duplicate the layer (Layer -> Duplicate Layer), and then adjust the opacity to 50% and set the Blending Mode as Darken:
9. Go to Edit -> Transform -> Flip Horizontal:
10. Go to Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+U), check the option "Colorize":
11. Now on the first layer, go to Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+U):
12. Your picture should look like this:
13. Now click on Brush Tool and select the "Rough Round Bristle" brush.
14. Create a new layer on top of the other layers, and adjust its opacity to 50% and Blending
mode to Lighten:
15. Use the Brush until you feel you got enough points:
16. Drag another image to your project (an abstract image or something) and select the layer of the picture that you dragged and go Layer -> Layer Style -> Outer Glow:
17. Look what I got with my picture:
18. Create a new layer (Layer > New > Layer) below the layer of the picture you dragged:
19. Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool and set the size to 400 px Width and 35 px in Height:
20. Click on the image once, and drag the selection to where you want your band:
21. Set the Foreground color to white, then go to Edit -> Fill:
22. Change the opacity to 50% and Blending mode to Overlay:
23. Go to Layer -> Layer Style -> Stroke:
24. Now your image should look like this:
25. Create a new layer on top of the layer you just use (Layer> New Layer)
26. Select the Text tool and type what you want.
27. Go to Layer -> Layer Style -> Color Overlay:
a) Add Color Overlay:
b) Add Stroke:
28. Adjust the opacity to 50%, then drag the text to where you
like (must be moved up the strip, as below):
29. Create a new layer on top of all the other (Layer> New > Layer).
30. Go to Select -> All, click the right mouse button on top of the figure,
and select Stroke:
31. Finally, we finished, and you should have something like the image below:
